The best people to help underrepresented communities engage in the democratic process are those trusted service providers already serving them on the front lines.

Project Vote offers training and technical assistance to nonprofit service providers in encouraging their clients to register to vote.

Project Vote has also developed helpful, state-specific “train-the-trainers” toolkits that allow nonprofit service providers to train their staffs to provide voter registration services. Currently, these toolkits are available for Arizona, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. A general manual for incorporating voter registration into your programs can be found here.

By incorporating voter registration into their existing programs, organizations provide another valuable service to their clients and support communities that are often less likely to be registered to vote and hardest to reach in registering.
