As the 2015-2016 election cycle ramps up, Project Vote is staffing up. We currently have four full-time positions available in our Washington D.C. office.

With voter registration and Get Out the Vote efforts gearing up across the country, it is essential that community organizations have the tools they need to run efficient, effective field programs. To aid in this, Project Vote’s Voter Participation Program is currently seeking an Account Manager. This position would be responsible for the implementation of VETS (Voter Engagement Tracking System), a management and data entry tool developed to allow field programs to run reliable, data-driven operations.

The Voter Participation Program is also seeking a Data Manager. This position will be responsible for managing data related to all of Project Vote’s voter registration and GOTV efforts, including working with outside organizations. The Data Manager will also support the Project Vote team managing VETS, our field reporting and data entry tool.

Project Vote is also currently seeking to hire a qualified attorney to serve as Election Counsel for our Government Agency Voter Registration Program. A partnership to enforce the National Voter Registration Act of 1993 (NVRA), this program works—through advocacy, technical assistance, and litigation—to ensure that state agencies such as DMVs and public assistance offices are providing Americans with the voter registration opportunities as required by law. Arguably our most effective tool for increasing voter registration among low-income and other marginalized citizens, this program has already resulted in over 3 million voter registration applications.

Project Vote is also currently seeking a Research Director/Senior Policy Analyst. This is a position shared between the Government Agency Voter Registration Program and the Voter Participation Program. The Research Director/Senior Policy Analyst will spearhead analytical, statistical based research evaluations designed to help improve the program work and assist in achieving our goals. The position also involves being able to work with other program staff to provide assistance with research needs.

The fight for voting rights is at a critical juncture, and what happens in the courts, legislatures, and streets in the coming year will shape the electorate in 2016, and for many years after. Now is the time to join the struggle to engage disenfranchised communities, and ensure that every eligible Americans has equal access to the voting booth.

Project Vote is a national nonpartisan, nonprofit 501(c)(3). Project Vote’s mission is to build an electorate that accurately represents the diversity of America’s citizenry, and to ensure that every eligible citizen can register, vote and cast a ballot that counts. America’s democratic systems are weakened by the historic and continued lack of fairness and equal access, and this nation cannot effectively address the most pressing issues of racial, economic, environmental, and reproductive justice while those most affected by the injustices are underrepresented and marginalized at the ballot box. Project Vote knows that strong democracy needs active participation from all sectors of society, and works hard to engage low‐income Americans and people of color in the civic process.

Project Vote is an Equal Opportunity Employer, and we strongly encourage applications from women, people of color, persons with disabilities, and LGBT candidates. We are committed to a diverse workplace and to supporting our staff with ongoing career development opportunities.
