Get Out the Vote messaging is most effective when it comes from trusted local organizations who know their communities, know their constituents, and can speak to their neighbors about the issues that matter most to them. For the 2010 Get Out the Vote Campaign, Project Vote is working with community-based nonprofit leaders to reach low-propensity voters in Arkansas, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Kentucky, Illinois, Michigan, Missouri, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Wisconsin. Project Vote’s research-based program will provide training, field manuals, and overall management to these local organizations, following up with many of the young, low-income, and minority voters Project Vote worked to empower in 2008.
