ID necessary at the polls?

Yes – if the voter is:

• required by notation in the official register to either show ID or have another registered voter in the district vouch for his or her identity

• voting in person by absentee ballot

• voting during the early voting period¹

Acceptable forms of ID at the polls:

Must show proof of identity and residence:

• Driver’s license

• State ID card

• Passport

• Utility bill

• Government check

• Paycheck

• Other Government document

If no ID:

Cannot vote.²
