ID necessary at the polls?

Yes – for all voters.

Acceptable forms of ID at the polls:

  • Voter Registration Certificate

  • Valid South Carolina Driver’s License

  • SC Dept. Motor Vehicles Issued Photo ID card.2

If no ID:

Vote a provisional ballot and bring ID within a few days after the election, depending on the County.
