ID necessary at the polls?

Yes – for everyone.¹

Acceptable forms of ID at the polls:

Must show name and address:

• Drivers license/ID card

• Passport

• Tribal ID

• Student ID

• Military ID

• Utility Bill

• Change of address verification letter from US Postal Service

If no ID:

Vote a regular ballot if the voter either has a poll worker vouch for her or his identity or

complete a Voter’s Affidavit on which the voter swears her or his identity under oath.²
