ID necessary at the polls?

Yes – for all first time voters who registered by mail who either did not previously provide a copy of ID or provided unverifiable ID numbers.¹

Acceptable forms of ID at the polls:

Must show name and address:

• Current and valid photo ID

• Utility Bill

• Bank Statement

• Government check

• Paycheck

• Other government document that shows name and address

If no ID:

Vote a provisional ballot and bring ID to the Board of Elections any time until Canvass Day, when the ballots are counted.²
