ID necessary at the polls?

Yes – for everyone.¹

Acceptable forms of ID at the polls:

Photo ID required:

• Missouri drivers license

• Missouri Identification

• Student Identification card

• Utility Bill with name and address

• Military ID

• Passport

If no ID:

Vote a provisional ballot after signing an affidavit, swearing her or his identity. The signature on the affidavit is then matched to that on the registration form to verify identity.²

Other Information

Missouri law requires the Department of Revenue to issue non-driver’s licenses at local license offices free of charge to those who need a photo ID for voting purposes.³
