ID necessary at the polls?

Yes – for all voters who did not previously provide a copy of ID and have not been verified by the Department of Elections.

Acceptable forms of ID at the polls

Must show name and address (can be separate forms):

  • Valid Minnesota driver's license

  • Valid learners permit

  • State ID

  • Notice of late registration

  • Travel ID Card (with name, address and photo)

  • Utility Bill with current address

  • Another person registered in the same precinct who can vouch for the voter's identity

If no ID

Cannot vote.2
