ID necessary at the polls?

Yes - if:

• You are voting for the first time in Maryland

• You registered to vote by mail and...

• You still need to meet the ID requirements¹

Acceptable forms of ID at the polls:

Must show name and address:

• DL Number or SSN

• Photo ID

• Utility bill

• Bank statement

• Government check or paycheck

• Other government document

If no ID:

Vote a provisional ballot and bring ID by the Monday following the election to provide ID.
