ID necessary at the polls?

Yes – for everyone.

Acceptable forms of ID at the polls:

Must show name:

  • Credit Card

  • Social Security card

  • Driver's licence

  • Any photo ID or

  • Personal acquaintanceship with a poll worker to vouch for the voter's identity

If no ID:

Vote a provisional ballot.2 The ballot will not be counted, however, without ID.3
