ID necessary at the polls? |
Yes – for everyone. First time voters who registered by mail must bring additional ID. If unable to obtain ID because voter is indigent or has a religious objection to photographs, may affirm in person before County Election Board that the exception applies. If the voter is registered and resides in the polling place facility, she or he is exempt from the requirement.1 |

Acceptable forms of ID at the polls: |
Photo ID required:
The address on the ID does not need to match the address on the voter registration record. But if the person is a first time voter who registered by mail, she or he must then also bring other ID that matches the address on the voter registration record. |

If no ID |
Vote a provisional ballot within 10 days after the election to present ID.2 |
