ID necessary at the polls?

Yes – for everyone

Acceptable forms of ID at the polls:

Must show name and address:

• Valid GA drivers license

• Valid GA ID

• Valid US passport

• Valid photo employee ID card

• Valid student ID card

• Valid pistol/revolver license

• Valid pilot’s license

• Military ID

• Social Security Card

• Naturalization documentation

• Copy of court records showing adoption, name, or sex change

• Current utility bill showing name and address of voter

• Bank statement showing name and address of voter

• Government check/paycheck showing name and address of voter

• Government document showing name and address of voter

If no ID:

Regular voters:

Vote with a regular ballot if the voter signs a statement under oath swearing or affirming that he or she is the person identified on the elector's voter certificate.

First time voters by mail:

Vote a provisional ballot and present identification within the 2 day period following the election for the vote to count.
