ID necessary at the polls?

Yes – for all first time voters who registered by mail and did not include copy of ID during registration.¹

Acceptable forms of ID at the polls

Must show name and address:

• valid photo identification

• copy of a current utility bill

• bank statement

• government check

• paycheck

• government document that shows your name and address

If no ID

Vote a special ballot after signing the “Voter Affirmation” on the ballot envelope, swearing that she or he is an eligible voter and all information is correct.²
