ID necessary at the polls?

Yes – for all first time voters who registered by mail and provided unverifiable ID numbers.

Acceptable forms of ID at the polls:

Must show name and address:

  • Current/valid photo ID

  • Utility bill

  • Bank statement

  • Government check

  • Paycheck

  • Other government document2

If no ID:

Vote a provisional ballot and can bring ID to the county clerk's office within 29 days after the end of the election for the vote to count.
