ID necessary at the polls?

Yes – for everyone

Acceptable forms of ID at the polls:

Must show name and address:

• Photo ID (driver's license, student, employee..)

• Utility Bill

• Bank Statement

• Government Check

• Paycheck

• Passport

• Hunting/fishing license

• Firearm license

• Military ID

• Social Security Card

• Birth Certificate

• Naturalization Document

• Other Government Document

If no ID:

Vote a challenged or provisional ballot

OR

Vote a regular ballot if she or he is identified as an eligible voter on the poll list by two poll workers and both poll workers sign the voting sign-in register by the voter's name.¹
